I took a picture of the Sigma Alpha Eplison, and the Sigma Nu house. The SAE house is the larger one in the front of the picture and the Sigma Nu house is in the background. These are only two of the twenty one in the community of fraternities on campus. This will be used in my presentation to represent a place where active members can meet and do whatever needs to be done at the time. The house is also a symbol of community, and friendship. The people who live in the house are closer to their brothers than ever before. This also allows you to create relationships with people you may not have had one with before. Living in a fraternity house also helps your grades, there may be another brothers who have already taken a class or is currently in the class. Any way you look at it there are plus sides to living in a fraternity house.

My community
Tyler Copeland
The community I have chosen is the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. I am a newly initiated member at this great fraternity. This community starts a brotherhood with everyone who has come through, and who will come through. As an alumni you are never forgotten, you can come back and talk to the guys like they are your brothers. This is my community because i have had relatives who have come through and I am honored to carry on the tradition. I would like to find out what it really means to be in a fraternity and the position you hold as an active member. My relationship with this community is my brother is an active member. I have chosen this community because I hope one day I can be someone who other people look up to and that I can mentor them in the way the actives do for me now.

Hello, my name is Tyler Copeland. I am from Louisville, Kentucky where I attended Saint Xavier high School. I am a newly initiated member into the fraternity SAE. I am looking forward to meeting new guys and starting new friendships. My brother influenced me to join a fraternity, and fortunately I got into the same one as him. I am looking forward to learning different strategies on how to write and give speeches in this class. I want to learn about ways to improve my speech that will help me throughout the rest of my life. This class should be a good learning experience for my classmates and myself. My community consists of 150 years of tradition at Saint Xavier High School. The second you enroll in courses you are brothers for life with not only the people in your class, but the upperclassmen as well. Everywhere I go I see alumni that I can go up to and talk with whenever I need to, even if they have been out of school for a while. Saint Xavier was the greatest four years of my life, I am looking to make these next four just as successful.
